When I learned the incredible Monarch butterfly was endangered, I had a dream, no... a nightmare, that they became solidified in time in a dark space that moved beyond our human conception. Why would they leave? What would we do without them? This is that moment of my dream.

Artist Notes: I have had this piece in my head for ages with no clue how to execute. I asked my friend Amanda Deleon a million questions since she has extensive wet molding experience. After a random veg tan cut of leather sat in my guest tub for 30 min in warm water, I started draping, twisting and playing and it was AWESOME.
